1. What ZodiacSignal is

ZodiacSignal computes a daily astrological reading from your birth details and the positions of the planets, and presents it as a score out of 100 ranked against your own year, a short written line, the transit that line was drawn from, and a calendar of your days. Everything is calculated on your device from an embedded ephemeris.

The astronomy is real and checkable. The interpretation placed on it — what a transit means for your week, which hours favour you, whether a night is worth marking — is a traditional astrological reading, and is offered as such.

2. Not advice

ZodiacSignal is provided for personal interest, reflection and entertainment. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, employment or relationship advice, and nothing in it should be relied on in place of a qualified professional. We make no claim that a reading predicts events, and no decision with real consequences should be made because of one.

If you are in distress or in crisis, please contact a doctor or your local emergency service. An app that scores your day is not equipped to help with that.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old — or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if that is higher — to use ZodiacSignal. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

4. The free tier

There is no account to create and nothing to pay to use the app. Free includes:

  • Your daily reading, in full, every day
  • Your chart in three lines — Sun, Moon and Rising
  • One Cosmic Twin
  • This month's calendar, up to today
  • The Today's Signal widget, small and medium, never veiled

We intend the free tier to stay genuinely useful. If it ever changes materially, the change will be announced in the app rather than discovered.

5. ZodiacSignal Pro

Pro unlocks the parts of the app that are withheld:

  • The whole calendar — every day ahead, and every month behind
  • Unlimited Cosmic Twins
  • Every widget, unveiled
  • The full chart — all ten bodies, the houses and the aspects

Prices shown are for the United States storefront. Apple sets the equivalent price in every other currency and storefront, and the price you see in the app at the moment of purchase is the price that applies. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase.

6. Renewal and cancellation

Both plans renew automatically. Your subscription renews at the same price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.

Cancel in the App Store, not with us. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ZodiacSignal → Cancel Subscription. We have no ability to cancel a subscription on your behalf, because Apple — not ZodiacSignal — is the merchant of record.

If you cancel, Pro remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you take the 3-day free trial and then purchase a subscription, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited, as Apple's standard terms provide. Cancelling during the trial, more than 24 hours before it ends, means you are not charged.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You can restore an active subscription on a new device with the Restore control on the Pro screen.

7. Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's decision on a refund is Apple's to make. Where the law where you live gives you a statutory right of withdrawal or refund, that right applies regardless of anything in this section.

8. Your data — and other people's

Your birth details, chart and readings belong to you. They stay on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your own private iCloud database. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Cosmic Twin lets you enter someone else's birth details. Those details are that person's personal data. Only enter them if you have that person's permission, and delete them if they ask you to. This is your responsibility, not ours — we never receive the data and cannot act on such a request for you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the subscription, or use the app with a purchase you did not make
  • Reproduce or redistribute the app's readings, design or content as your own product
  • Use ZodiacSignal to harass, profile, screen or make decisions about another person — including in hiring, lending, housing, insurance or any other consequential context

10. Intellectual property

The ZodiacSignal name, mark, design system, written readings and app code belong to ZodiacSignal or its licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as set out in Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement.

Astronomical calculations use the Swiss Ephemeris by Astrodienst AG, used in accordance with its licence. Astronomy itself is nobody's property.

11. Availability and changes

Because readings are computed on your device, the app keeps working without a network. We may still change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date at the top and surfaced in the app; continuing to use ZodiacSignal after that means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZodiacSignal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that readings are accurate as predictions, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any outcome will follow from anything it says.

Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded — consumer guarantees in your country apply in full.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZodiacSignal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising out of your use of the app — including any decision you make in reliance on a reading. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. These terms are between you and ZodiacSignal alone. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app, and in the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, which is the extent of Apple's obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Apple's standard end user licence agreement applies to the app in addition to these terms and can be read at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement governs the licence to use the app itself.

15. Governing law

ZodiacSignal is operated from India. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

This does not take away your local rights. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live apply to you in full, and nothing here prevents you from bringing proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right. Where those laws conflict with anything above, they win.

Purchases are made from Apple, not from us, so the terms of sale for a subscription — including the seller of record and the statutory information that comes with a distance contract — are Apple's, and are shown to you in the App Store at the point of purchase.
